The Butterfly Affect Filmhaus consists of three main parts: Butterfly Affect Studios for film production and related services; Copy That 10-2 for technical services such as digitizing media and analog equipment maintenance and repair; and the Euclid Archive consisting of educational and historic films and related text and materials for the purpose of education and sharing information.

History of the space: Located on Euclid Avenue, The Baker Electric Building is a historic site for innovation and experimentation. From the very start, Baker Electric Building was a place of innovation. In 1910, architect Frank B. Meade designed the Baker Electric Motor Car Building for Walter C. Baker, a pioneer of electric cars, as his first car showroom. The building is listed on the National Register for Historic Places as a historic and architectural landmark. The building is also being redeveloped utilizing green and sustainable design practices and is applying for LEED Silver Certification.

A century later, Northeast Ohio faces a shortage of incubator and post-incubator space for technology companies. The historic redevelopment of the Baker Electric Building addresses this need by providing 52,000 square feet of office and wet and dry lab space for emerging local companies.

The project has created over 100 new high tech jobs in inner-city Cleveland. As these tenants continue to grow, it's anticipated that they will contribute substantially more employment and tax revenues to Cleveland's economy.

In 2006, Cumberland Development purchased the building and restored its showroom to the likeness of the history of the space. Since this renovation, The Baker Electric building hosts science and technology laboratories, innovation centers, and technical education space. The project has created over 100 new high tech jobs in inner-city Cleveland. As these tenants continue to grow, it's anticipated that they will contribute substantially more employment and tax revenues to Cleveland's economy.

Butterfly Affect Studios has grown with its archive of historic film material and equipment, as well as expanded its services to digitizing media, maintenance and repair of analog equipment, and offering experimental lab space & services to other artists. Butterfly Affect started in a hall-closet in an old cathedral on East 33rd Street and has expanded its wings down Euclid Avenue to host its filmhaus.

The Baker Electric Filmhaus officially opens to the public on the third of february 2023.
